Laser hair removal for all skin types, with skin cooling

Treatable skin surfaces
Moustache, chin, whiskers, cheeks, or the whole face, front or rear neck, the armpits, between the breasts, around the nipple, the below navel area, the inner thigh (bikini) and/or the area around the sexual organs (intimate bikini), the buttocks. More than one region can be treated at the same time.
Preparation
The Hairless Laser treatment requires no special preparation and can usually be carried out on the day of examination. We recommend not sunbathing or visiting tanning salons for two weeks prior to the Hairless Laser treatment.
The treatment
In the course of the Hairless Laser treatment we apply short light pulses to patches of the skin with the tip of a pencil-type handpiece. Then we treat the neighbouring skin area. The cold-air cooling prevents burns to the skin and reduces discomfort during the treatment. The treatment may cause slight discomfort; though it is generally painless.
Ability to work, nursing at home
The patient can return to work immediately after the Hairless Laser treatment, which cases no skin injury. The treatment may be followed by mild redness of the skin or swelling around the hair follicles (oedema) which disappears in a few hours. After treatment you will need to continue caring for your skin at home and we always recommend avoiding exposure to light for a month.
Number of treatments
A good result can be achieved after 2-3 treatments but we recommend repeating the treatments in order to achieve perfection (set of 4-8 treatments). We recommend one maintenance treatment a year in order to remove hair “permanently”. The Hairless Laser treatments can be repeated every 4-6 weeks.
Scientific background of the treatment
We use a Matisse HR type Alexandrit Hairless Laser produced by Quantasystem and a Cynergy HR type Nd:YAG laser produced by Cynosure Inc. U.S.A. in our Hairless Laser treatments. The laser light exerts its effect in the hair follicle: the laser light absorbed by the pigment content of the hair transforms into heat, which damages the matrix cells that are a crucial factor in hair growth. The air cooling protects the skin surface from heat damage, pre-cools the area to be treated and post-cools the treated area. Led by Dr Gábor Varju, Dr Derm Anti-Aging Dermatology, Aesthetic Laser and Plastic Surgery was the first institution to use the equipment and the related treatment method in Hungary.
Cost of the treatment
A Hairless Laser treatment costs between HUF 12,700 and HUF 49,530, depending on the size of the skin surface. If more than one region is treated simultaneously, the costs of the treatments applied to each region will be aggregated.
